  • How often should I change my furnace filter?

The style of your filter may vary with how frequently you should change your furnace filter. Allstar Heating & Cooling LLC recommends changing one-inch filters every month, and four-inch filters up to every six months. Changing the furnace filter more often than not may help improve your indoor air quality, especially if you have pets or a high household capacity. According to Gitnux, the average life of a furnace in the United States ranges between 15 to 20 years. Call us today if you're in need of a furnace replacement!

  • Which way does the arrow point on the filter?

The arrow on the filter box should point toward the middle of the furnace. Call our team today if you're in need of a furnace replacement.

  • Should I cover my air conditioner in the winter?

In most circumstances, you shouldn't. All air conditioners or heat pumps are designed to handle any weather conditions outdoors. If you live in a valley and if your air conditioner or heat pump is in the zone of heavy ice sickles dropping on it, we would recommend protecting it with a piece of wood with bricks. Other than that, you're probably in good shape. If you're looking for an air conditioning contractor, call us today!
